What’s the context behind the original image? Is the girl in the car holding a handful of pet food!? Why is she so anguished? Why is the other girl pressing her tits against the window?

This is photoshopped from 2 different pictures. If I recall properly the woman on the right is sacred by an animal entering its head into the car to get food (I don’t remember the specifics animal, maybe a giraffe?).

I don’t like the Witcher because I want to be faithful to Triss, but as soon as Yennefer shows up, all my player choices are disregarded. 5/10, will not play again.

It’s like this in the books as well, it almost feels like a harem anime at times. Women just throw themselves at him.

My favourite part of the books is how everyone thinks and assumes Geralt is an emotionless mutant, and he plays up that image. meanwhile he’s the most capricious, emotional child when he’s upset or hurt lol

I feel like way too many “slice of life” games do this that it might as well be a trope. Everyone wants to bang the protagonist.

I think you underestimate the attraction of somebody who is proven to be infertile and immune to all STDs in the middle ages. Its basically a completely risk free one night stand.

The books don’t establish that for quite a while. It’s a series with blatant male wish fulfillment and it does a fine job of it.

        No we don’t.

We just want to hang out with him. And play PC games. And nerd out about D&D. And talk about his movies. And snuggle with him. And feel him up. And maybe lick his chest.

Even if I both played the game and saw the series before the book, the game version of Geralt would pop up in my minds eye as I imagined the story. That is, until I got to the sex scenes where Cavill took over.

I pondered if this made me bi, but I quickly realized this is normal behavior for all sexual orientations.

On a tangent it just goes to show you how terribly they mishandled the DC movies that a literal ‘no u’ uno reverse card of sexuality that is Henry Cavill was starring in them and running around in what should have been a skin tight body suit and still nobody wanted to go watch them. The man will literally print you money if you let him and they couldn’t even get over their undeserved egos enough to let him do his job properly.

There are a lot of beautiful women in Geralt’s orbit, but in my playthrough, I started off romancing Yennifer, but then Triss comes around, sparks fly, and I decided to see if I could be with both of them, seems like something they’d be into. Well, everything is going well, it seems like we might be about to consummate our thruple, things start getting real steamy, and then BOOM, they were just fucking with you, but won’t fuck you. You have to choose. It was such a hilarious and well-executed bait and switch. Though that was just my playthrough.

In addition to what the others commented, most (all?) of the attractive female lead characters are wearing the MOST RIDICULOUS tops ever. For some reason, women in the world of the witcher prefer shirts that are unbuttoned just in the boob region, or have a DEEP V-cut in them, or are just totally unbuttoned.

Don’t get me wrong, I love boobies as much as the next guy, but so many of the outfits just look impractical - especially for martial characters.

Clearly the work of some seriously thirsty devs.

There is a technical lore reason though, most of the hot women are sorceresses, and can basically change their appearances at will. They tend to be hot women because it makes for easier social lives. Otherwise they are all 90 year old crones.

They look like that because the primarily male, hetero audience wants to see this. Let’s not come up with in-lore reasons why female characters are sexualised the way they are

In the show you literally see Yennefer go from fugly to beautiful because being sexualized is useful if you’re of a gender nobody usually listens to in the middle ages.

It’s a fantasy setting. Nobodies stopping the show runners from straying away from how things were in the middle ages. If that’s too unrealistic to you, I have a feeling magic, monsters, and witchers might be reality-breaking for you too (not literally you - second person plural you)

Most of them are old crones, they make themselves look like this because they are vain.

Ves takes the cake though, since she just runs around with an open shirt all day.

Geralt is a magically inclined mutant which is particularly attractive to the other witches as they are 90+ years old as is Geralt so plain human partners are barely more than plaything to them
