Ruffalo’s got balls while other celebs are too afraid of speaking out and being accused as “woke”.
Here is his Globe remarks:
"This is for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered. We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded. He’s telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality, but the guy is a convicted felon; a convicted rapist.
“He’s a pedophile,” Ruffalo continued. "He’s the worst human being. If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we’re all in a lot of trouble.
“So this is for her,” Ruffalo concluded. “This is for the people in the United States who are terrorized and scared today. I know I’m one of them. I love this country. And what I’m seeing here happening is not America.”
“ralphalo, who isn’t in any good movies, some people are saying, isn’t getting my vote for hulk 👐🤏👐” -trump and his hurt feelings
Trump will say it of course but I would love to hear him justify saying that many people think Ruffalo is the worst hulk…

convicted rapist.
Isn’t saying this publicly the thing that got George Stephanopoulos sued? Not that he’s substantially wrong in saying this, but “right” and “wrong” aren’t exactly things that influence Trump’s decision-making.
Ruffalo isn’t a reporter.
Ruffalo also has the money to go to court and have it out about the definitions of the words adjudicated, alleged, confirmed, convicted etc.
I know if I was the orange child rapist I wouldn’t want to go to court to discuss those different definitions because at some point I’d have to admit that I was in fact an adjudicated rapist.
Then again I’m not a mushy brained narcissistic dictator so…Plus of course it’s technically correct. Trump has not been convicted of rape, but he has been convicted of other crimes and he is a rapist. So he is indeed a convicted rapist.
Stephanopoulos wasn’t “reporting” when he said that, though; it was during an interview with a guest on the show. I’m not sure that’s a significant difference.
And he was telling the truth.
And ABC should have fought it in court, and they would have won, but they voluntarily gave up the bribe Trump was demanding.
Later, Kimmel forced them to grow a spine and fight back, and MAGA backed down. Kimmel knows how to handle bullies.
The proper thing to say would be ‘adjudicated rapist’
Put whatever qualifiers you want on it. A rapist is a rapist. It’s a factual statement and, therefore, is not slander or libelous.
Doesn’t stop them from filling lawsuits, no matter how frivolous
It also doesn’t stop the judge from assigning payment of both parties legal fees to the losing side. A common practice for those kinds of friviolous cases.
Getting legal fees paid isn’t always possible, and is very different in various jurisdictions.
I was once sued in revenge by a supplier I’d dropped. We knew I’d win the case (they were hoping I’d settle), but I was pissed about how much it would cost me, even if I won.
It turned out that we had to motion for legal fees by a certain date. So my lawyer waited until about an hour before the courthouse closed on that day, and filed the motion without giving them a chance to react reciprocally. So they’d have to pay my legal fees, but I wouldn’t have to pay theirs.
They lost badly, as predicted, and paid my lawyer for their hubris. No compensation for two years of worry and lost sleep, though.
Sure, but it’s less about the money than it is about the act itself, the ultra wealthy can just throw money at lawyers to waste other people’s time, and wear them down, despite whatever outcome they still get what they want really
Yep. This is because most people don’t vote in ways that would facilitate enacting legislation to correct that problem.
Our system of checks and balances only works when we work it. Every time somebody throws up their hands and gives up because of some perceived roadblock, that is what preserves these systemic abuses. To rid ourselves of the abuses requires a public with the desire to actually participate in their own government more often than one day every fourth November.
No, he’s a rapist, adjudicated just means a judge determined it. It’s the same as convicted. You don’t call a convicted murder an “adjudicated murderer,” he’s a convicted murderer.
Trump is a Rapist, plain & simple. He’s also a Traitor, racist, misogynist, white supremacist, ignorant, incompetent, profoundly psychotic, and irredeemably and enthusiastically corrupt.
It’s why I don’t make plans anymore. Otherwise, the term “premeditated” gets thrown around in court.
What’s done is done, in all seriousness 🤷
“…And what I’m seeing here happening is not America.”
Well it is mate
We’re at war with Venezuela?
I liked Ruffalo before I knew how he felt about ‘politics’. I like him even more now.
“It’s hard to pretend anymore,” is a strong statement given his profession.
I’m glad some actors are speaking up, but holy shit it’s taking most of them forever. It’s been a fucking year and you already knew who he was …
You never know when you neef a pardon from the pedophile
Who REDACTED Ruffalos’ nipples?
Your mock it, but that redaction saved thousands of lives. Most of us can’t handle that sort of beauty.
If you’d ever seen them, you’d understand.
look he calmed his tits okay? have you seen him without his tits calmed?
Boomers have been a cancer upon the world.
Because people in power often happen to be boomers? You can replace “boomers” with literally any other common denominator and, while still stupid, probably anything would be more accurate - try “men” or “white people”.
Maybe, but boomers willfully sacrificed the long-term survivability of this planet for short-term profit when confronted with climate change, triggered this political hellscape by electing Regan, and have lingered in power for like 50 years. So, Boomers have had an outsized impact.
That’s definitely 5 Mark Ruffalos!
Can’t not read it in the voice
Never thought much about him, now I’m a fan. Being a moral American should be rewarded these days.
He was great in Shutter Island.
He’s been great in more things than I can count, but I never look for him. I never say “Look, a new Ruffalo movie, let’s check it out,” the way I do for DiCaprio or Gyllenhall, or a few others.
I’ll be changing that somewhat in the future. I probably won’t watch it just because of him, but being in the cast will definitely make me look on the film more favorably.
That’s funny, because I view Gyllenhall exactly that same way.
Did Gyllenhall have some similar political sentiment or is your opinion just based on his past performances? I recognize him when I see him but don’t really see him as a reason to be excited/turned off for a movie.
No, I just never saw him as the sort of actor that demanded much notice. He does fine work, but isn’t remarkable IMO, not like Ruffalo is.
I saw Gyllenhall in a limited Broadway run of Sunday in the Park with George, and he was amazing. He would have easily won the Tony that year, but the production took itself out of contention.
I’ve been a big fan ever since. I’ll go see anything he does.
A friend sent me a reddit post with this vid, and I immediately regretted reading the comments
We know for a fact ICE is contracting workers to monitor the Internet and social media including Reddit.
When I read stupid shit like that, I assume it’s most likely paid ICE contractors and/or state fusion centers doing what they get paid to do (promote the administration, stir shit up, monitor people, and try to get people to incriminate themselves). On the off chance it’s a legitimate idiot, then you can at least take a little comfort in knowing that even though we’re all being fucked over, the idiot still supporting them is being double fucked by paying taxes and willingly providing free labor to the state to promote their own exploitation.

Mark Ruffalo being interviewed by Zeteo:
That first bit is written really oddly: states some terrible stuff and then says “as much as I love all this” lol
It feels like the “this” in question is likely the golden globe awards, where he was being interviewed.
My guess is there was an accompanying gesture to serve as an antecedent
Yeah considering everything he said I’m sure it was, it just reads kinda funny.
he’s saying “This country sucks ass, you host a good party tho”
What’s up with the title? What is it we can’t escape? The rise of fascism?
I think it’s saying you can’t escape Twitter posts being reposted everywhere.
Like this utterly valueless reply from @vincedmonroy, when we could have just had a quote of Marc Ruffalo’s statement from the Oscars, which other commenters have posted.
Isn’t these print screens from the nazi-pedophile platform X? People who find it normal to use such platform are the reason why fascism is becoming a reality on the streets as well.
This one is Threads not X.
Which is still fascist adjacent with Meta/Zuckerberg part of the Oligarch
Ah ok, thanks.
