    Cheap or processed red meat.
Steaks, etc, are fine but stuff like cheap burgers or the packaged sliced meat from supermarkets are a no no.

The tricky thing was I could have a cheap burger every day for a week and it would be ok. Or just one the next week and it felt like the world was falling out of my arsehole and mouth.

In the end my doctor instructed me to go on a diet to eliminate different foods and drinks. A month with no caffeine, a month with no fried food, a month with no alcohol, etc etc. It was only when I got to the month of no red meat that it all stopped.

I can still eat red meat but it needs to be good stuff. No mince, no ‘beef’ pizzas and so on.

  • Oh man, I used to get gastroenteritis every few weeks before I found out what was causing it.
Gastro was horrible. When the astonishingly painful cramps hit you you didn’t know which way the ‘projectiles’ were evacuating from until the very last second.

Unfortunately the toilet in my house at that time was in a separate room as the sink and bath. Which meant if I needed to throw up I’d either have to do it in the horrible diarrhea covered toilet or just throw up on the floor.
    Decisions decisions.
On the really bad episodes I would just sit in the bath for hours on end so I could turn the shower on to wash the puke and/or shit away.

Fortunately I haven’t had an episode in twenty years now.

  • Once the baconreader app developer stated it would stop due to API nonsense I left.

I tried another one called something like Squabbles* for a few months and really liked it, then the owner of that site decided that the racists and nazis that were joining were allowed to say what they wanted.
There were a lot of trans, gay etc, and non whites on that site who tried to reason with the owner but ultimately left due to the hostilities. The place went downhill fast and about a week later I left. It may be far better now.

I only go on Reddit now if I’m looking for info on the PC and one of the links is from there. However most of the time it doesn’t give me any real info, usually it’s just lots of people having the same issue I was searching an answer for.

Edit: it was called Squabbles, not Squiggles
Edit 2 Electric Boogaloo. Squabbles seems to have died a death, and I’m not surprised tbh.

Firstly, she does it because she’s a piece of shit.

Secondly, if it was about survival, like you suggest, then why is she calling it a passive income in such a gloating casual fashion?
Passive income, at least to me, means secondary and unnecessary.

Thirdly, she’s a piece of shit.

  • Betting on things is legal in the UK, and we have something called an accumulator. Basically you pick a number of horses/dogs/etc and then choose X number of races.
If what you pick wins the first race then it’s automatically put on the second and so on. If one of your picks loses then you lose the lot.

Anyways in the early 90s a mate of mine won a 15 horse accumulator. He put £1 in and won something like £270000. Astonishingly, astonishingly lucky. Especially as he knew nothing about horses and basically picked them all because of their names!!

He talked about expensive holidays or to go to las Vegas to “carry on his winning streak” and buying expensive cars etc. At that time our friend group consisted of about 8 lads and we all sat him down in a pub and all basically said “stop talking like a twat”.
It took a bit of time, negotiation, and compromise but in the end he decided to buy a modest house outright, take about £10k for stupid shit, and invest the rest. Which he did.

Within a few years he was basically set for life. House paid for and money from good investments. He gave up his stressful job and got a job working as a school caretaker.
Life took us all in different directions and countries but he is still set up and enjoying life. Never went to las Vegas though, which is probably definitely a good thing!!
