- Ackscuhallli sugar, fructose, and glucose aren’t polysaccharides. But sugar is a disaccharide of glucose and fructose. Polysaccharides are things like fiber and starch. When clothes are made from bamboo it is the chemically extracted cellulose (a polysaccharide) that is made into rayon and knitted or woven into fabrics. - What I learnt in school is that polysaccharides are complex sugar (as opposed to simple sugars like glucose). - So they are, by definition, sugar too.
