Why does this seem…wrong? Like the scale is bad. Like she’s scaled down to 0.9 and he’s scaled up to 1.1 but a normal person is 1.0.

I understand the concept of “height differences”, but this hits weird. Maybe I’m just tired.

These two actors played the main on and off again couple at the center of the television show Sex and the City. The relationship was toxic, all the in-universe characters knew it, but the couple kept getting back together, and that provided a lot of drama for the television show.

Everyone tells you not to date/ sleep with Person A because they’re toxic, did something wrong or weird in the past, etc.

      You do it anyways.

The meme is making fun of the carefree, self-destructive nature of those that make that decision.

thats the thing i hate about how everyone talks about how bad it is to date toxic people

they never talk about how hot they are. like yeah they’re wrecking my mental health because they’re also wrecking my reproductive organs

Oh yeah when I was young and had an active untreated personality disorder men loved it. It’s like they want to be tortured. Tbf I also pass on a lot dumber bullshit more now that I’ve gotten treatment and chilled out a little. And I found a dude who’s in almost the same exact boat with bipolar 1 to be stably unstable with. So the idiots really don’t get a lot of chances with me anyway.

        That diagram always annoyed me…

The initial position come with the statement “she would shave her head”. Starting her out at a rather crazy but not very hot combination.

Then, “she’d lose 10 pounds” where Barney draws a horizontal line to the left, which would mean that she became less crazy, but stayed equally not very hot.

Then “stab me with a fork”, drawing a diagonal line up and to the right, which would mean that this turned her both hotter and crazier (but a bit more crazy than hot)

Then “get a boob job”, again drawing a horizontal line to the left, meaning the stayed exactly as hot as after the fork stabbing, but somehow became much less crazy…

        So apparently:

        • losing weight makes you less crazy but doesn’t change hotness
        • stabbing people with forks is hot, but also quite crazy
        • and getting boob jobs, also makes you less crazy, but also doesn’t affect your hotness…

I’m not here to judge anymore for thinking boob jobs make you saner… But it doesn’t quite align with the rest of Barneys views…
