… You apparently haven’t been around the kids who push this annoying meme? They absolutely would count “sixty seven” as “six seven” without a split second of thought.
Yeah, shocking you can choose whichever mouse you want and probably have been able to since USB mice became a thing.
Even when apple mice didn’t have two buttons, you could right click via control + click.

Games@lemmy.world•Day 561 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish
2·3 days agoSeriously even when I was 15, a 12 hour gaming session would’ve been extremely exhausting. I’m not saying I never did it but I could never keep that shit up for long. I think that rises past the level of clinical addiction.
I guess that is true, yes. I do think it’s generally a good thing that they’re locking down specific permissions like that though.
You can always alias it! With my neofetch config, I get nearly identical output with fastfetch so I switched a while back.
The meme isn’t implying great backward compatibility. It’s implying great tool maintenance and availability.
Interesting. Neofetch has ceased development but fastfetch is here to take its place though.
I mean, macOS has a lot of issues but the one hoop needed to run any unsigned app is “right-click app icon, click open”.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it weird that whenever there's an internet disruption, the first thing that I assume is happening is war, civil unrest, or government censorship, or some sort of conspiracy happening?
3·4 days agoMakes sense to me. When I hear explosions I wonder if it’s the start of a bloody conflict in my city.
Definitely for the most part. There’s certainly a race component but the narrative that it’s only that is just divisive bullshit.
You would have absolutely no fucking way of knowing that is true. Go ahead, keep attacking people you pretend are your allies. Definitely what’s needed now.
These incidents are totally only getting attention because of race and Lemmy is the most racist. Totally nothing to do with the other killings you list not being on video. Totally not that /s
Yeah. Pretty weird in this case because this angle has been pushed for a few weeks and I’ve not seen it go uncontested yet, but it keeps cropping up. As if to say “what’s important is not where we are, but how racist everyone besides me was on the way here”. Which is just dumb. No one is denying racism is part of it. But it’s just brainless to think they can get away with this messaging and totally dodge the glaring fact that these recent killings are on fucking video. As if there could ever be a world where video doesn’t hit human beings harder than depressing news headlines. That’s clearly most of why these killings are getting such a reaction. Throughout the history of video that has made a difference. It’s even responsible for decreasing racism. Like with the Rodney King beating video.
Might be an indication that this audience thinks more deeply about what you’re implying. Which 100% tracks with my experience on every social media platform compared to Lemmy.
But trying to whinge about it right now is only going to inflame tensions between the people who should be united.
The exact intended goal
How many of those were captured on video? From multiple angles?
We don’t have to pretend America doesn’t have a racism problem to know that rhetoric like this is not well intentioned.
Nothingface is good angry music.

This makes sense. Any time I see someone acting as though there is one type of phone, it’s an iPhone user. For example, only an iPhone user will recommend an iOS-only app because it literally never occurred to them that another platform exists.
