If you go to the social media like Facebook and Instagram and look at stuff people post from objective point of view both sexes are equally bad at posting sexist shit. And yet if you go to real world, like a bar or some different social gathering place nothing of this shit matters.
It’s just social media brainwashing by corporations which encourage these kind of idiot content for profit, nothing else.

But I’m concerned that, as more young people have Internet as their primary third place and communication platform, more will be dragged into this bullshit for real, so, whether we like it or not, it’s an important place to consider. I already see the social media takes proliferate in the real world, one way or another.
I believe moderators should take more care to eliminate such harmful content from discussion, while we as users can take greater care to neuter it. Then we could start reclaiming normality in our communication despite the efforts to distract and engage.
