Pretty simple. Resist the urge to see people based on their membership in this or that group, and instead focus on each individual. People are not responsible for the actions of other people that may seem outwardly similar to them, they are only responsible for their own. Life is harder when you remember this, but it’s the honest truth.

Read what your own gender posts within an equivalent level of crazy and you should get an idea of how representative what you’re reading is.

On the inverse of that, I like to look at “femcel” stuff to see that it’s not just men who are bonkers

Erm… isn’t that exactly what I suggested? Or are you a guy?.. I think I just assumed your gender. Sorry (it’s late and was confusing)

It’s not that people are crazy because of their gender/race , it’s that they are crazy and acting like a crazy member of their culture

Taking it a step further, I wonder how many people I caused to go on to hate humanity because of something I wrote online

Assuming any homogeneity in a group as large as ‘the opposite gender’ is foolish. People with any combination of parts and identities can be dumb pieces of shit, so it’s hardly fair or even reasonable to hate that entire group of the actions of a subset.

Does that make the things you read any less upsetting? No, nor should it. Especially online, people are emboldened to say some pretty heinous shit. They don’t, however, represent all guys, gals, or whatever else.

    4 day old bait account?

Also, realize that every single person is an individual. I know a lot of shitbags who are men, a lot of shitbags who are women, and a couple shitbags that are trans, and a couple shitbags that are gay, and…

Their status as a shitbags has nothing to do with gender or orientation.

by not generalizing what someone(s) may say to what all persons sharing the same gender would say?

Interact with them in person. Men and women write a lot of polarising shit online, but once you go outside it’s (usually) not that bad. Sure, there’s always some asshats here and there, but I feel like there’s also a lot more good people around than you realize.

Because everyone is different and you can’t judge literally everyone based off of one person. I had to teach myself this at 18 when my ex girlfriend completely shattered every ounce of a heart I had.

Fuck that person in particular, and no one else.

Remember that: 1)it’s mostly Anglo-Saxon nonsense (redpill, MGTOW, Andrew Tate, etc.) that doesn’t translate to the rest of the world or even the entirety of their societies. 2)that people who are stupid and confused enough to murder folks around the world cause the paycheck is decent are easily programmed (it’s not part of the the male psyche to hate women, for example, not by default, but these folks don’t know what thinking is).

Basically, you shouldn’t lose hope in humanity and the other half of the world simply because some maniacs, which are almost entirely contained in a couple of cultural groups, are very loud. Remember there’s a lot of money behind it, remember it’s psyops.

Individuals write shit online. Individuals of similar mindsets group together online. Neither is an appropriate representation of their entire gender’s mindset. You hate an opinion not a gender.

    A few possibilities

    • learn not to overgeneralize
    • don’t & become an incel just like them
    • change your gender?

People take off their mask and become their true selves when they feel anonymous on the internet. It sucks to see how many people have no independent ethics or character depth. It is a hard lesson, but this is true of humans everywhere. These same people act completely differently to your face in person, but they are ultimately the ones that hurt you most. They are a minority. Use the opportunity to learn about them and observe them. Then you will be better at spotting them when they wear the mask of social norms and peer pressure.

Humans are tribal animals. We cannot escape that, but we can minimize it through self awareness. The number of perspectives, opinions, and intelligences are large. Everyone is stupid to someone, and in different ways at different times. The only stupid any of us can fix is within ourselves. Only worry about things you are able to change. Everything else is a waste of time. Sorry you had a bad encounter with someone.

Try to understand where they are coming from or why someone might be writing something. Usually when people write disturbing things online, it’s because they did not have a normal, healthy childhood. They weren’t taught to have proper relationships with other people. They may have been abused and excluded from society.
