Yaoi and yuri at least used to denote explicit sex? Has that changed? Non-sexual was shounen ai and shoujo ai in Western fan parlance (Japanese terms are more varied).
Edit: a tongue in cheek meaning of “yaoi” was/is “yamete oshiri ga itai” (stop, my butt hurts)
Hentai?
this implies sexual (which yaoi and yuri usually not necesarily imply), and doesn’t imply heterosexual
Yaoi and yuri only refer to sexual, shōnen ai and shojō ai are what you’re looking for

Funnily enough, yaoi actually is an acronym, I think referring to stereotypical yaoi stories:
Yama nashi, Ochi nashi, Imi nashi
“No climax, no resolution, no meaning”
Yep, basically “plot? what plot?” More evidence that it meant VERY nsfw things ;D
nowodays they usually doesn’t
Haha, no. Those are hentai genres dude. Ecchi still counts.
