Thank you! No part of the intro-extro spectrum accurately describes my personality “type”, it’s as uselessly nonsensical to me as astrology. If that kind of things helps you live your life without treating others differently, go for it, but I find that’s rarely how it goes (case-in-point, this comment section). To me, it’s all meaningless pigeonholing.
Yeah, how sociable one feels and what they get out of it depends far more on circumstance than some innate tendency to either seek it or avoid it. If anything, being human means we are all social creatures who to a degree need social interaction to survive. I’m convinced most people who identify with introversion (which seems to be most people on the internet) are actually just under-socialized, out of practice, or tend to be around with people who just kinda suck. Similarly people who identify with extroversion probably already have a lot of friends and are good at navigating social situations because of that, not because they were innately imbued with some secret sauce.
