    I was with you until homophobic. The essence of comedy is subverted expectations. Just because a gender reveal is subverted doesn’t make it homophobic. How many times have you been to a drag show and found out that a performer is actually a woman cosplaying as a man pretending to be a woman?

    Well, okay, maybe that’s not a common thing. But after having lived in Hillcrest I’ve seen a lot of stuff. But then again I never checked birth certificates to see if the woman was a man who transitioned to a woman pretending to be a drag queen.

      He’s not only surprised that it’s a man (which I agree is surprising and mildly amusing in itself); he freaks out and runs away.
