        You’ll be best off on the MX website forums I’d think.

        I don’t think i understand the concept of “mastering” a specific distribution though. They’re all just (often overlapping) collections of tools, many of which can be swapped. Mastery involves knowing when to choose different tools, and adapting and developing bespoke ones when necessary - it’s probably impossible in linux because there are are too many.

        But more generally what’s the difference between MX linux and debian? I guess it doesn’t use systemd which is quite a big difference to be aware of, but apart from that 90% of stuff is going to be the same. It must still have manpages and some package manager. You could probably even install apt if you wanted to.

        On here i think linuxmemes is the best place to get linux advice, just ask your question there and put “i use mx linuxBTW” at the end to make it a ‘meme’. /s /not-s you’ll get more engagement.

            It’s very well written, but a few versions out of date. For your purposes, I suspect it doesn’t matter. Read it slowly , a bit at a time, come back and ask for help if you need it.
