Interesting thought experiment… intuitively, I’d say no, but it’s worth thinking about… it’s a genuine moral dilemma in a capitalist world: there’s a dialectic between our desires and the common good…

I wonder how many people would change their answer if it was highlighted they’re in the set of people that may die. Even though it’s long odds, people are more intuitive than rational with things like that.
I wonder if it would make people less likely to push the button, or more.
I’d still push it if it was a 50% chance to be me. At least that way I’d leave something nice for my family
