I’ve been reading Dracula, and it’s truly horrifying. The Count is extremely vile and cruel and conniving and I yearn to see his demise (NO SPOILERS PLS). It makes me want to kill a vampire irl, and ensure that those fiends are no more. The problem is that vampires aren’t real, so my righteous hatred and contempt has nowhere to go. So how can I find an avenue to fulfill my desire?

Play the Curse of Strahd D&D campaign. Strahd is such a great villain and very Dracula-esque. Though to be fair, victory is all but guaranteed…

  • Literature vampires are a metaphor for landlords. It couldn’t be more obvious in Dracula. Not just because he’s a lord who owns land. The protagonist is a solicitor and Dracula’s whole evil plan is to buy various properties in England. Multiple chapters are about him learning English laws and customs around buying and holding land and houses.

Lots here suggesting you do the Luigi thing.

If you’re not game for that, I suggest playing videogames. I’m sure there has to be at least one about vampire hunting

There is a remastered Legacy of Kain Defiance that came out this year. Maybe playing as a vampire will make him not so angry toward them.

I am down for Luigi-type things but I’m just starting to gear up w organizing irl so that’ll prob be a while

In terms of games, it feels like every game wants you to be the vampire and not many want you to be the hunter, which is a shame

Castlevania? There are a few in the series were you play as Alucard, but mostly you’re human fighting vamps.

The problem with vampire hunting games is they typically involve other themes in addition to vampire hunting. But if you’re cool with that, then The Witcher franchise might scratch the itch. I’m pretty sure the Blood and Wine expansion is vampire heavy.

There we go, the only appropriate answer and I was about to say it.

Seriously folks Eat the Fucking Rich. They’re vampiric blights on the planet and society at large.

Stake thru the hearts of them All.

Who’s that guy who takes the blood of young men to be immortal and shot a missile at a girl’s school?

Sounds like an undead demon to me.

Play RPGs? Either find someone who is willing to run a vampire hunting game, or run a game of vampires being hunted, so you can mow down the adventuring party, becoming the monster yourself.
