  • Not really, but I’m not against it. When you remember that in order to even get the death penalty, you have to be such a horrible person that you’re pretty much no longer human, I don’t see a problem with it. And then there is also the issue of the government has to pay potentially millions of dollars every years just for keeping you in prison/jail, so it also has financial benefits (not that the government needs more money, especially considering the fact that they constantly waste it on meaningless bullshit).

But I am also aware of the potential problems, like innocent people getting the death penalty. As a result, I think the death penalty should only be used in situations where there is absolutely no possibility of innocence. This means that the motive is clear and proven, and the evidence for even committing the crime(s) is/are solid.

  • I literally just finished the 3D remake of Final Fantasy 3 (PC version) before coming here. After I’m done here, I’m going to start playing Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe.

I also somewhat recently finished the original PC version of Doom 3 and it’s expansion pack. I understand why people don’t like it as much as Doom 1 and 2 but I still think the game was good.

  • Well, I know that I probably wont be buying anymore android devices and I know for sure that I’ll never buy an iOS device. But outside of that I’m not sure, I’ll have to wait and see how things play out. If possible, I’d like to be able to use Linux or at least custom versions of android but, as of now, most of my devices don’t have custom roms available and the two that do haven’t been supported in years. I have looked into Linux phones, tablets and other portable devices like the Steam deck and the Legion Go S but they are very expensive and there isn’t even a way for me to purchase some them.

I am also aware of ADB commands but I’ve never used them before. If they are easy enough to use without potentially bricking my devices, I am not opposed to using them.

  • Nah, I too just use whatever version of android is already installed onto the device. I would use custom versions of android or more preferably, Linux distros, but the biggest issue for me, is the fact that the only way to install a custom OS is to use a rom that’s made specifically for that device. You can’t just download a “one size fits all” rom and install it onto your device. As a result of this, most of my devices don’t have a custom OS available at all, and the ones that do, the OSs haven’t been updated in several years.

I also haven’t used any advanced methods for removing apps I don’t want. I’ve never used anything like root or ADB, as I’m just worried about potentially bricking the devices I own.

  • There are a few things but I don’t think I can really talk about them here. So, I’ll just mention that there was this old browser game on Cartoon Network’s website that I remember playing when I was younger. It was based on Xiaolin Showdown and, while I don’t remember exactly what the gameplay was like, it was a fully 3D game and I think I remember it being a platformer. I have never been able to find this game or even any information about it existing, anywhere. I’ve even checked Bluemaxima’s Flashpoint and it’s not archived there either.

  • Mainly just notifications from app stores like Google Play, F-Droid and Nutaku. I do occasionally receive notifications from other apps such as Google Opinion Rewards and Proton Mail. Then very rarely, I do also receive calls and texts but it’s mostly just scams and otherwise unknown numbers.

As for your side question, I used to because it used to be useful. Several years ago, Google broke YouTube’s email notifications and refused to fix it. Then at some point, they acted like no one wanted them and just removed them. Luckly, RSS feeds still work, YouTube doesn’t tell you they exist but they do.

  • Action RPGs are my go to games for this. Some good choices are most of the Kingdom Hearts games and most of the Castlevania games from SOTN onward (including Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence). I also like Dissidia and Dissidia Duodecim (012) but I do know that not everyone liked these two games. There are also some more obscure games that might be worth checking out, like The 3rd birthday and Alien Syndrome which are both on the PSP.

“Musou” games (often listed as either ARPGs or beat-em-ups) are also pretty good for this as well. Games like Warriors Orochi and at least most of Dynasty Warriors made after the first (the first game was a fighting game) are good choices. I’m not too familiar with other musou games but I did like Mystic Heroes, which I’ve played the GameCube version of but there is a PS2 version as well.

  • I don’t know how much of a problem it is nowadays, but I know for a very long time, “westerners” for some reason have a tendency to view anime in a similar way to how racist karens react when they have to walk past an innocent black person while walking at the park. I’ve never understood it but most of the people who don’t like anime, usually act like it’s somehow a threat to society and do everything they can to either slander it or just straight up try to get it banned. It’s insane and until people like this stop existing, anime will never be properly excepted.

It works pretty well. I don’t currently play any pc games with anti-cheat, so most games work well without having to do anything special outside of running them in Wine or some other application and there are some games that actually work noticeably better on Linux than Windows. Some games have required some additional setup but it’s pretty rare for games to just not work at all. Something I find kind of funny though, is that most of the games I haven’t been able to get working on Linux aren’t working on Windows either.

I should also mention that I don’t really use mods for games. I have used mods for the Linux version of SRB2 but the game is designed to be easily modable, so it makes sense that the mods would just work.

  • There are a lot of things that make me happy to at least some degree. Just going in order of what I remember, there is, finding uses for older pieces of technology, listening to music that is upbeat and “energetic” (if that’s the right word to use), playing games with good gameplay and stories (even if they can get depressing sometimes), and while it’s been a while since I’ve last watching one, watching Anime can also make me happy. There are also some other things but I’ve either forgotten them or I just don’t feel like mentioning them.

  • It’s not a perfect solution but something that I do, is anything that requires my full attention and prevents me from thinking about them.

I too am currently having this problem because I can get easily attached to fictional characters. I’ve been playing Honkai Impact 3rd, which is my first time playing a Mihoyoverse game, and the story (at least part 1, I’m not in part 1.5 or 2 yet) is so tragic, that I’ve developed an attachment to the characters. I’ve been trying to take breaks from playing, so I can focus on other things, but I get depressed if I go too long without playing it.

  • Assuming I’m understanding what you mean, I did somewhat recently. I don’t remember what game it was but it was caused by a game I downloaded from the Google Play Store. The game never gave me notifications as I actually had them disabled, but the game would cause my phone to vibrate randomly for seemingly no reason. As soon as I uninstalled the game, the random vibrations stopped.

  • I looked through my bash history and it looks like I needed it to build an Xbox eeprom editor for Xemu. Xemu doesn’t (or at least didn’t, I haven’t used newer versions yet) have a built in eeprom editor and editing the Xbox eeprom is required for enabling both wide screen and higher resolutions for the games that support them natively.

I just looked at Xemu’s documentation, and it looks like they’ve added a link to an online eeprom editor, so the editor I used (which they do still link to) is no longer required.
