You assume people know what you mean. I think you cannot just say „collapse“ without stating what exactly is collapsing and how. That would obviously change the direction of preparation. I’m not prepping but I’m electricity independent and i plan to use meshtastic because I think it’s fun. At least that would help in case of a communication network collapse. Not that I care about that.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•To those who are new to this whole fediverse/threadiverse/this thing, how has your experience been?
19·5 days agoI’m new here and it’s quite a relaxed experience. I think there are more friendly and reflected people. It’s like people here are able to criticise properly and take criticism and also encourage and praise a little. I thought this was lost since early internet. But also very political / activist. I feel like in a bubble of people who want to change things for the sake of people and not capital. As much as I like it we’re not enough. I don’t care there are not many comments. Less comments, less fomo.

I didn’t know that about bronies. Please share your view on why they were especially wholesome. I’m genuinely interested as I met some of them and they seemed friendly and maybe vulnerable as they seemingly had no bad intentions it made me relax, even though they were strangers. Maybe it struck a nerve in me as I was very accustomed to nerds in school, but I really don’t like My Little Pony :)

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•I always feel that this handwriting looks strange (I wrote it myself)
4·17 days agoThat’s still not a question. Are you fishing for compliments?
What are you getting at? People with mental Health problems tend to live very destructive lives
lol this is the old lan party piracy key I still know by heart. It’s like a password all my nerd-friends know :D
You’re not thinking car-first. You need neuralink to fix that. /s
Well there is a reason condoms come in different sizes
Ohhh now I get it. Well apparently I didn’t take this part very seriously. I cannot imagine anyone actually thinking like this.
Organisations are social ecosystems. This happens. Some person I don’t know said online: it’s more important to be likable then to be good at your Job. Be good, kind, helpful to people, treat everyone with true interest for what they do and respect. Have some passion. Gossip will likely stop. They will protect you as a person and not try to find your problems.
But they very obviously are pedophiles and rapists. Don’t try to relativize.
You say something is wrong with you. Not having enough resources to get through the day is not normal. I’m in therapy because of this. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t diagnose anyone but your message spoke to me and if it is Bad enough for you it might be worth going to the doctor and check if your brain might lack something that other people have. Chemistry can heavily influence your life.
I feel you and I’m surprised how many like-minded people here are. Just in case: have you checked spoon theory? Is there’s something wrong with you and your resources?

It was presented by German author Mark-Uwe Kling in a hilarious way by voicing comic panels about Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk being the only two inhabitants on Mars and their daily lives as two very lovely rich people.
