i think human bodies are pretty good for doing physical work in complex non-standard environments. like fixing electronics and stuff. i suppose an ai could at some point simply manufacture everything it needs as simple standardized modular parts, that can be fully replaced if they break and that are simple to set up, but they would probably still need worker to bootstrap that. i don’t think robots are there yet, and even if they were, there arent enough of them.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who are your favorite leftist/longform video channels?

anark makes video essays repackaging and building on theory of organised libertarian socialism. the videos are imo a great entry into that theory, but they also go quite deep. anark also has monthly lifestreams, a series about existing horizontalist projects, and a great series refuting authoritarian letism.

andrewism makes video essays critiquing capitalism, state and colonialsm, and advocating for the horizontal alternatives, in harmony with nature. the videos are more vibes based than theoretical, and are a good entry point to ideas they cover.

lily alexandre has some good video essays about gender, but they also make videos about internet culture from a lefty perspective.

worst joke this side of the
lesbian? i dont get it. how does that work? like which one of you is wearing the black dress in the relationship?
here i go explaining the joke
its a stereotype that cishets ask queer couples silly question with the goal of squeezing them into the framework of heterosexuality. i saw a chance of putting a comical spinn on that by asking about the colour of the dress instead. the joke was very half cooked. my apologies @w@
