Question: Do you think Peertube will likely ever have a the diversity of content that YouTube has or with different motives for making content it may never reach that scale?
obsidianfoxxy7870@lemmy.blahaj.zonetoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•corporate greed $English25·11 days agoThis is exactly why I can’t really trust main stream cooperate media anymore. They don’t do anything now days. They so often just take things at face value.
You seem to have all the same reasoning I did. It is nice to hear someone else confirm it. Also when I need to I still plan on using @tuta.com for things I want more privacy on.

BUY CONTENT YOU LIKE
Is it more expensive? Of course it is, that’s part of an equitable society. Also it means you end up with content you really like and not a bunch of junk.
obsidianfoxxy7870@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•My password is not accepted because it is too longEnglish4·21 days agoYES, it pisses me off so much. Though I do kind see for some things having some upper limit of 256 for certain services. But I may be wrong in thinking that.
For example I want a secure bank password but I only need it so long. Mainly because unlike my E2EE service if they are servered a warrant or hacked through another service all my data is there. Basically I can only do so much.

obsidianfoxxy7870@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Are people blind on PeerTube?English18·1 month agoAlso to be fair I feel like YouTube has a large amount of deadish Internet content or just content that can’t exist in a landscape that doesn’t reward getting clicks (think Mr. Beast and similar).
obsidianfoxxy7870@lemmy.blahaj.zonetoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•Peace and quiet.English01·1 month agoI would love to move to some US state with lots of forested country and go build a cute little homestead. Work part time to buy things I need.
Mmm…my dream. Also BTW I’m in my early 20’s.
obsidianfoxxy7870@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Technology@lemmy.world•Bluesky has started honoring takedown requests from Turkish governmentEnglish0·2 months agoI don’t get why they listened to the Turkish government. There not (to my understanding) registered there or have any kind of assests there.
As an American I’m not really a fan of it mainly because it’s different from the World standard. We are the only country that insists on doing it different. It would not be hard to change either. I would love for it to change but it’s not something I’m putting a lot of time or thought into right now.
