The EcoTank models are built to be refilled from bottles. The ink is also much cheaper, and they can be used with dye sublimation ink if one wishes.

Their regular printers are shitty otherwise.

Totally optional features that come set up by default are not really optional unless they’re opt-in from the start. Most users are not savvy enough to figure out how to disable that kind of stuff.

Depends what you mean by good. Is it silly pointless fun? Yes it is.

Is it deep, compelling gameplay with a lot of replayability? No.

It plays kind of like Untitled Goose Game in a way. Short themed sections with vague goals.

I think most people aren’t even aware of the different forms of DRM and whether or not their games use them. For the majority of players, there’s no discernible impact to their experience so they have no reason to question any of it.

Nobody’s teaching these companies any lessons. They keep using Denuvo because it works, and the games keep selling because the number of people actually bothered by it is pretty small.

It’s certainly possible, but AFAIK their objections have been about piracy and copyright infringement. At least I haven’t read or heard anything about trade secrets being at issue.

This only applies to trademarks and the risk of genericization. You don’t lose copyrights that way.

It was fun but a bit shallow. It had some fun bits and pieces of media like the fake ads, but the game was very easy and pretty short. I finished it in about 12 hours taking my time. There are a few things that I missed, but the game didn’t really inspire me to spend the time and effort to find everything or to replay it. Maybevone day when I’ve forgotten all about it.

I’d say if they expand on the concept and build a little more depth into the game, the sequel could be intetesting.

Meh, I don’t think there’s anything morally wrong with what he did. What he did wasn’t just legal, it’s literally his job. The only issue is that Valve is now angry at him for their own failing.

To continue the same analogy, they didn’t just leave the gate open, they literally invited a bunch of people and told them to invite other people. I’m not sure what they expected if not this exact situation.

The original Baldur’s Gate came on a single CD and had full install size of under 600MB. It was also possible to do a partial install and to load files off the CD at runtime.

I would look for the next generation of GPU if you can find it. You should be able to find an RX 7600 for about the same price, and would get better performance and longer expected useful lifetime from it.

The one-PC-two-users thing is indeed more of a gimmick than an actually useful prospect. You can find videos of it being done, but it’s really not as nice as one would hope for.

Most of the appeal of the Chromecast is that it’s a dongle you plug in once and never have to see again. It doesn’t need high performance and 32 gigs of RAM. It needs to play video. That’s its entire purpose. It’s controlled by any phone on your wifi, it doesn’t need a remote.

For most users, this is an expensive downgrade.
