Based on need. Money (broadly) doesn’t do a great job at balancing resources, and while based on needs gets difficult when resources are scarce, America (at least) relies on overproduction anyway, so we do have the resources in a lot of key areas. Enough food is thrown away to feed all of the hungry, we have more empty homes than homeless people, unused clothing is thrown away end masse, etc etc, without even getting into how a lot of things are designed to be disposable that really don’t need to be.

Quite frequently, at least given the language they use around some of it, they demonize it because they fetishize it. Given the general anti-sex bent (usually for Christianity-based reasons) of the far right, it’s a “temptation” they have to resist, which then puts the fault on the “tempter”, not the person with the fetish they can’t accept is fine to have.

I was raised in a conservative family, and one of the things that made me a whole lot better was that it’s fine to be into weird shit in bed. Not saying that’ll always be the case, but it is part of it. Some of it is just people who’re grossed out by feet thinking that it’s a moral failing to be into feet, some of it is people who’re into feet and feel guilty about it. At least in America, yes. Granted, don’t, because there is plastic in it, but the type of plastic is in the General Recognized As Safe (GRAS) category for consumption. I’d say a 3D one is good for most cases. Personal freedom, economic freedom, and political freedom, AKA the NationStates Non-Political compass.

Functionally, though, while it’s an easy visual I don’t necessarily know how useful political compasses are in general. One of my main gripes with the currently popular one is that it’s personal+economic freedom, and I don’t think there should be an economy at all[1]. I end up very lib left on it (something like -8,-8 or -9,-9) despite, again, not thinking economy is something that should even exist. Would that lean me more right on the economy, or left? Who’s to say! You’re not economically free if there is none, but also you’re as economically free as you want to be!

Funny enough, I also have astigmatism, and it’s harder to read light mode for the same reason. It’s just that the blur moves inwards instead of outwards. With bold fonts it’s not as bad, but thinner fonts can be a pain to see

Before then I feasibly had no way to drive, so it was just an extra cost for no benefit. Family didn’t have a car at all when I was 16, and I didn’t get my first car until shortly before I got my license. I also just hate driving, it wigs my anxiety out. It’s still the only car I’ve ever owned, and I sold it about a year ago.

I work from home, and only even borrow someone’s car or get a ride if I can’t get to a store on foot, which is one I only go to monthly. I’d still be borrowing a car if I could, though, I’m not sure I could carry 40 pounds of compressed sawdust home on foot. Even with that I likely won’t let the license expire, since it’s the same cost as an ID anyway.

Might be a marketing thing, since the big ones are all using some variant of Linux as an option on their handhelds now. I also only remember one using Windows as a positive part of their marketing, and haven’t seen anything from them in a good while

Yeah, I couldn’t get it to either. For collections there’s a way to copy the nxm links and paste them into downloads, for individual mods I just download them from the website to either. It’s one of those “It works, just not with all of the features it would have natively” kinda things for me, which I’m fine with for how I use it. I only really use it for skyrim collections xD

I use two: Namecheap and omg.lol.

Admittedly omg.lol isn’t a traditional registrar, but they do give you a domain name and other stuff (I don’t use most of it), but it’s $20/yr

Namecheap varies, but last I checked it was a bit cheaper. Not by much, maybe $15/yr for my .monster domain?
