Technology@lemmy.world•Meta found liable in child exploitation caseEnglish
3·1 month agoYes. My take is that meta and others want this lawsuit to happen this way because they can use it as an excuse for age verification and other tracking things going on ATM too. The fine is nothing to them, but this is justification require more user identification

It’s his stage name, but he’s hilarious and also has had a rough go medically himself.

1·3 months agoSmart. I stopped there at the end of the trip, and I figured Japan would be the least of my worries, so I was under prepared for this issue.

3·3 months agoI was pretty confused about what to do at one point. I bought a water from a 7/11 while walking around in Tokyo and didn’t know what to do until an old lady it a subway market (also kind of wild) took it, washed it, and put it in her backpack when I gestured for the trash.

2·3 months agoI’ve never seen a rule requiring any specific fuel reserve except for when filing IFR where you need enough fuel to get to your destination, and alternate, and still have 45 minutes of fuel.

Technology@lemmy.world•Exclusive: Amazon plans thousands more corporate job cuts next weekEnglish
11·4 months agoEvery manager can expense what they want if they can get their manager to support it, so some offices (or more realistically, some teams in some offices) have nicer perks than others, but GREF doesn’t provide anything for free. If she was getting free food, that was her management chain doing that, not amazon as a whole (unlike say Google or meta that has free cafeterias, I’ve never seen a cafeteria in Amazon with free food).

Technology@lemmy.world•Exclusive: Amazon plans thousands more corporate job cuts next weekEnglish
21·4 months agoAmazon has never been like that, Google has had more perks like that in the past, but Amazon has always been much more frugal.
Look at this differently: your goal isn’t to give good head, it’s to make your partner feel good. The Caleb’s of the world aren’t just “fucking perfectly”, they’re providing their partner with what makes them feel best. Your most important skill in this regard is to listen. You need to hear and feel what your partner is telling you, and adapt. At the end of the day all you’re doing is applying pressure, moisture/warmth, basic movements (there’s nothing too crazy you can do), and enthusiasm. You have to sooth and excite them mentally as much as physically, and these are the physical levers you have to play with.
If your partner is telling you that what you’re doing is great, then you’re hitting the physical areas fine most likely. You need to make sure you’re doing everything else too: they need to build to climax through appropriate foreplay (which could mean anything) and carried through that.
Understand what your partner wants, and you will be a god
Sounds like your hard drive may be dying.

Ya I’m finding myself being the bad code generator at work as I’m scattered across so many things at the moment due to attrition and AI can do a lot of the boilerplate work, but it’s such a time and energy sink to fully review what it generates and I’ve found basic things I missed that others catch and shows the sloppiness. I usually take pride in my code, but I have no attachment to what’s generated and that’s exposing issues with trying to scale out using this
