  • My only issue with it is that on my iphone, the app constantly freezes and says I have 3 photos left to upload. It’s almost certain to freeze for a few minutes and the upload becomes stalled as well. This behavior made it take a long time to backup my library and it makes it a pain in the ass to share photos quickly with people. Popping into the webUI has none of these issues (just no uploading of my photos). I still quite love the app

  • Becoming a parent (especially in today’s world where many older people aren’t educated on tech) is going to be a huge battle of boundaries. Thanks for your response! I realize my baby won’t be able to avoid it all but I believe (hope) there’s a difference in thousands of photos hitting advertisers/training algorithms and the few that will slip through.

Lesser of two evils, I guess. I will definitely try to write out some simple rules and a basic explanation for it. Thanks, again!

  • The answer is yes! It depends on the type of material and the goals. For instance, the iPhone 4 was supposed to have a white version on release but it was delayed. Apple eventually blamed the different in heat and UV radiation being different, if I remember correctly. Vague rumors that it messed with the proximity sensor also floated around. This was during the antenna-gate “you’re holding it wrong” era. Could be all BS and there was no formal explanation given.

Most times it probably doesn’t affect very much but manufacturing engineers spend a lot of R&D to make sure it doesn’t by the time things to get to consumers!
