I wouldn’t watch it even if the trailer was really good but…I’m gonna shit on it for looking awful, not being targeted towards adults. That opening green screen shot looks AWFUL. I said in another thread it reminds me of those old car commercial edits with the Mark guy. The perspectives of the camera vs the background don’t seem to fit

Not confirmed by any means. Some new leaks implied that it’s in the works but valve often works on games that don’t get released.

I feel like Cobalt Core did it pretty well for an indie game…not nearly on the same level as Hades but each win unlocks a memory from a character and the story is slowly revealed. Once you see all the memories, you get a final mission (that I will not spoil here). Narrative elements progress during runs, too.

It’s kinda just lore like you describe so I might be giving it too much credit but I really liked the way it unfolds and wasn’t expecting the “twists” as you find out the real motivations of each crew mate. It’s also a really fun game

Didn’t DF kind of get rid of borrowed power model? I assumed the Hero Talents were just the extension of the talent tree and would be added to next expansion, not something that would be removed in 2 years. They’re still just talent points

They were supposed to add account-wide reputation, they gave us 10% of it, just for one expansion.

Both TWW and DF reps are account-wide. They will be rolling out past expansions over time…as they stated months ago

[Story/writing]

I liked the Dalaran cutscene a lot. The voice actor for the one kinda mean guy you meet is…not great. The writing feels in line with WoW which isn’t a compliment but I’ve never paid much attention to the story anyway (skip skip skip, just let me smash some barrels)

Class design is terrible

I’ve only messed with Brewmaster but I’m loving the changes. I’ve seen nothing but positivity in guild chat about the changes to everyone’s classes. For me, it streamlined the class by removed several annoying button presses while still feeling like the same class.

Someone has to be the worst…but I got KSM on a WW when I was new to the game and they were a trash spec. I also looked at some lists and wowhead does indeed have them as D tier for M+. However, they are in the A tier for raids. Neither of which are casual content.

Tier lists are for high level content. Every single spec in the game is fine for a casual player. It does not matter what you play.

Hero talents

… they’re normal skill points…you just pick the track to add them to. It’d be the same thing as extending branches at the bottom of the existing tree lol

I like how you might pick different trees for different content. And with being able to save loadouts, doing so is pretty damn easy

Copilot may be a stupid LLM but the human in the screenshot used an apostrophe to pluralize which, in my opinion, is an even more egregious offense.

It’s incorrect to pluralizing letters, numbers, acronyms, or decades with apostrophes in English. I will now pass the pedant stick to the next person in line.

I’ll never understand why Overwatch 1’s lootboxes are always held up as an example of BAD BAD NOT GOOD MICROTRANSACTIONS when it was the best kind of lootbox. Uncomplicated, all cosmetics you could unlock by just playing, no paid keys, etc.

I haven’t been to a Spanish speaking country in 2 decades, don’t speak Spanish, and the only Spanish speakers I know primarily speak in English around me.
