Do A with a pillow between the knees and another pillow to “hug”. Let the shoulder roll forward and keep the arm straight in front of you, it’s the best one I’ve found yet.

elaiden@lemm.eeto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•how did you and your partner change after having a baby?English2·8 days agoCan confirm. Step mother had 6 children. Is a massive narcissist.
elaiden@lemm.eeto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•how did you and your partner change after having a baby?English7·8 days agoI’m sorry to hear that. That’s a really hard situation for you. Sounds like she has gotten postpartum rage, which seems to be linked to postpartum depression and anxiety. Please don’t stop taking care of and defending your child as she grows up. When babies are small, they literally don’t even know that they are their own person. They think that they are the same as the mother, so they mirror much of what the mother does. I hope that you pushing through and being there for your child as they continue growing up will help, so that the child has someone stable to rely on.
I would also try to get your wife into therapy. This is not her, it’s chemical imbalances in her brain because of the pregnancy that is causing this. It is strong stuff. And while it is shitty, and does not excuse her behavior, I lean towards thinking that it is not her fault. She is basically sick.
I would try to frame it in a gentle way when suggesting it. Maybe not saying she is sick, but that you miss the loving partner that you know still exists, and that you both need professional help to figure out what the pregnancy did. According to this article the condition is entirely treatable. Good luck.
Nice! This looks really pleasant! Always thought the official one needed some work. Thanks!
I use soulseek to download, AOTY.org to find new music. To listen I use musicbee on PC and Poweramp on Android.
You can set up musicbee to scan and sync music automatically to your phones album folder when you plug it in the PC with USB. It can even convert them to smaller files like mp3 or opus if you like. I recommend opus.
Musicbee also has a replaygain feature to analyze the volume of your music library, and adjust them so they all play at a similar volume. This metadata also carries over when you sync to Poweramp. Just need to enable the option there.
You can use soulseek on your computer or on Android phones. I mostly download on my PC since then I don’t need to go into the folders to move albums. Just need to plug in the phone to sync.
If I really need streaming for some reason I use revanced youtube music. But I mostly just search up recommendations on AOTY and add them to my library.
It took a little tinkering to get it how I like it, but it was fun, and once set up it’s quite smooth and works well. I prefer it over streaming now.
Make sure to buy some albums every now and then to support your favorite artists directly.
It’s just a habit that can be changed though :) I also used to sleep on my stomach, since I was a kid. But started waking up with such horrendous neck pain.
The way i sleep is so specific now. Feels like I have perfected it. I love doing a version of A, where I have a pillow between my knees, and another to hug. I make sure that my pillow really supports the neck by kind of propping it up a bit and pushing it into the neck. I roll my shoulder forward so that I get more flat and as much of my torso as possible is touching the mattress, and keep that arm straight in front of me. If I can lie down on the floor in that position I know I’m in the “right”, comfortable position. I usually prop my e-book up against another pillow and read until I fall asleep. Journaling, and the cognitive shuffle sleep method is also great to combat racing thoughts.
