As a Swede I just… sigh… we suck so hard… I mean, we, eh, whatever. Unsaveable.

This might seem a bit “too much”, but as a linux user for 20 years, and someone that also is preparing a computer for my niece (she is 4 right now, but I’m going to give it to my brother so that he can decide when the time is right for her), I have to say you should look in to the new Commodore OS (yes; it is the Commodore!). It’s a large OS, but it has everything. What you want to do is hide everything that shouldn’t be accessible to your children, and that’s as easy as right-clicking on “Applications” and unmark any app that shouldn’t be visible (this is easy in any distro, but), it also comes with a few “education” apps (see image), that are very good as an introduction to computing. When they get older, you simply mark the apps you want them to have access to. I’ve used this dist for about 2 month now, and it is extremely stable. There are also other nice things that can help keep things a bit “fun”, like the “Cube” (check my profile header for how it can look, it’s from my current setup). The cube (in my opinion) is a great visual as to how, for instance, directories and such work; if you have let’s say 4 apps open on your desktop, going in to cube mode you can see how they all are as “layers”, this just makes sense (to me, at least).
I think you should check it out!

Agree. But again, I’m not used to these kind of games so the average player might get the hang of it in a couple of hours… (plus, the first 20:ish hours I mostly just took it all in, the views, the atmosphere of it, like a digital walk in the nature… time just went by)

Good.
Edit: JAS, I am from Sweden.

This was kinda me too, hence me stopped play it after some 20h in, and let it rest for half a year… recently I decided to give it another go, and when you get the hang of the huge amount of controls in this game, ie; when you can play “smooth” with the controls and the animations that come with them different button clicks, it’s such a game changer (at least for me). Not gonna lie, it took me about 30-40 hours to get comfortable and be productive/effective with how to play this game (these kind of games aren’t my goto though, I’m more of a Tetris guy, haha)

I was really, really late into this game. Now, 70h in, I’m like “this is a very good game, dude!”. (makes my cheap ass, waiting for it to go to sale seem… well, I am poor, but I know I wouldn’t have been disappointed, paying full price for it, and I’m not even near completing it, yet…)
Just like his dead friend C. Krik!
Qmmp has that option in the settings.
It’s a thing because MAGAts are indescribable insecure. But, like anyone else, they do want to be seen, and since their personal qualities are non desirable and no one wants to interact with them, this is how they force themselves on others; begging for a reaction. Any reaction. They are babies in adult bodies. Hope this was of help.

Yes. You’re too obvious, Russia. Step it up or expect to be outed.

Ardour, and also what LoopDigger said.
That is spot on. I have just concluded that it isn’t my responsibility to educate my parents. And since they don’t listen anyway, I also realized that since that is the case, we have not become closer through the years; but actually the opposite. And that all because they’re not willing to accept facts, because they’re lazy and entitled.

I’ve had one since the release 2015. The best controller and, unfortunately, the most worn out of em all. I really need a SC2. It still works just like the first day (well, better since it got software updates), but it’s so damn worn out. Fuck, I’m actually, seriously considering paying those crazy amounts people are selling them (HAS TO BE NEW!) for online. It’s sick how good it is.
If you want to understand your setup (which is quite important, in my opinion), there is no way around the fact that you will have to spend some time reading about the services you use. Even if you GUI everything away, it will come a moment when something breaks and you stand there, knowing nothing and/or what to do/where to begin. Most people aren’t in for the “reading” part.
