Coffee shops (but who hangs out there?)

Growing up during the Starbucks boom, coffee shops were absolutely a place to hang out after school. There was probably one a short walk or drive from school, and for less than $5 you could grab a sugary drink or a pastry and hang out in a comfortable indoor space with a few friends. Heck, one of your friends probably worked there. It worked great for high schoolers because there wasn’t any alcohol (so minors could be there), you didn’t have to be as quiet as a library, and you could head there regardless of the weather. COVID has probably changed a lot of that as coffee shops focus more on drive throughs and mobile orders, not to mention inflation.

I’ll be the third person to mention Cyberpunk 2077. They genuinely perfected the Bethesda formula. I’ve put in hundreds of hours over half a dozen full playthroughs; it’s absolutely exceptional.

Claude did not “go rogue”. It does not have the free will to do that any more than a brick can “go rogue” when you throw it through your own window. They knowingly used a bad, dangerous tool that destroyed their work. The tool can’t accept the blame for their poor decisions.

It’s not what they want to know about, it’s what they find easy to talk about. They’re topics that everyone has some connection with, and with which you’re unlikely to cause a significant disagreement by bringing it up. You start with the easy stuff, and then use whatever comes up as a bridge to more meaningful conversation.
