It’s happened so long in my life that I’m mostly unfazed. The ice cream is thick and the cup they use holds it well to the sides so it can stay upside down (unless the machine mixed it wrong, but I’ve never seen it fall) for a few seconds before any real budging.

God I tried SO HARD to like that book. Liked the show growing up because Legend of The Seeker is campy and weirdly ABC channel sexy (blond leather ladies touching you with Pain Dildos, essentially) but it was just trash.
The main character, by all means, should be the least knowledgeable and probably the least ‘wise’ character, but in comes Richard educating the Men of Mud on proper government structures and how their primitive tribal society was stupid and the way they made decisions was dumb.
And you’re right, don’t get me started on the confessors and how anyone with eyes wants to get bent over the table by the protagonist within minutes of meeting him.

I feel that. My family is from the south, and then they moved to a shitty midwest state, brought all their racist bullshit with them. I just stopped going to events, changing my number today even to avoid the texts and calls from people who already know why I don’t talk to them. I am not far enough to know if it happens an additional time, or if he ever gets them repaired. In the book I read first (supposedly 7th in the series, by mistake) it seemed he could make some expressions but that takes place a while after the first book in the series that I’m wrapping up, where it has just recently taken place.
The first book is called Xenos, at least that’s where I’m reading that covered the paralysis part.

If not, stop looking for gourmet from what is essentially McDonalds (in the picture it’s Wendy’s and Little Ceasars, a fast food pizza place that is boasted as the cheapest pizzas)
I don’t know if it’s undefinable. There’s a burger of some sort (i don’t eat Wendy’s looks like bacon or bad-lighting lettuce out of the bun), a cup of chili, French fries, and cheese bread.

To give full credit to this movie, Final Fantasy games are just as convoluted. You try to condense the plot of the amnesia child soldiers who fight demons from the moon summoned by their teacher/mother in hopes they’ll defeat the reincarnated witch who’s destined to take over her body (FF8) in an hour and a half with Steve Buscemi, Alec Baldwin, and tell me if it’s Oscar worthy. (I have no clue whether the original Japanese cast was as star studded)
I hated that movie as a kid, but I think I hated it more because it didn’t follow any of the other convoluted stories I forced myself to understand already.
