So as a way of cutting down on liability?
I know it sucks. And corps are playing with the automation line. They don’t want to replace too many jobs with automation because that will trigger the need for UBI to off-set the amount of jobless people no longer driving the economy. So, instead they’ve resorted to “churn and burn” practices. Things that allow them to burn people out and toss them aside and make it the workers fault.
It’s fairly common. A lot of higher end jobs do it as a way of screening out undesirables. And most of the others as a way of cutting down on liability. It can depend on the organization itself. If it’s a small organization they may not care or may only care if you use the heavier stuff.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. “Tattling” programs are quickly becoming a staple of any sort of logistical jobs. Companies will parade it around as if it keeps people safe, or it protects the honest employees. It’s designed to give them reasons to get rid of you.
I certainly hope you never have to get a job in the US.
I’m having a blast with it. It’s a break from the design ethos that was Doom Eternal. So if you’re looking for more Eternal you’ll be disappointed. This one wants you to play significantly more aggressively.
Alcohol and fried food.
Winter. Everything that makes my sinuses swell is dead, most people want to stay indoors, and I stop sweating while standing still.
Well I’m almost 40 so not a young thing. I also have a pretty packed work week and it’s not a set schedule. The only difference between us is that gaming is my main hobby. I don’t follow any sportsball, and the only other hobbies are things like TTRPGs and building Legos or Gunpla. And it’s pretty common to judge something based on the contemporaries of what it is. You can like something, and my not liking it doesn’t lessen your enjoyment.
It’s hard to “set your expectations accordingly” when you go from baldur’s gate 3 and Kingdom come Deliverance 2 to this. It makes me wonder what could have been before development was restarted.
I used to listen to them for a good bit a.few.years back.
Understand and knowledge that they are not an island. That the things they do, even if they believe it only affects them, affects those around them.
D:TDA is different from the other Doom games. It has a lot of different mechanics.
I was using my three favorites but yes. Jake as well.
John DiMaggio as Marcus Fenix vs. John DiMaggio as Bender vs. John DiMaggio as Schnitzel
Depends on my mood. I have a few playlists for that. Or, I use Spotify’s blend feature if I want to see what my friends are listening to.
That could also be the case I’m not going to purport myself to be any sort of Lemmy expert. I just feel like it would make sense that if a community is morally opposed to the idea of downvotes they would try anything they could or would put any sort of thing in place that would allow them to safeguard against that.
OG Xbox and early 360s XBL era was a wild time to be alive.
