This is the reason why you simply don’t tell anyone that you have used AI… it’s the same if you researched Wikipedia or your grandpas 1950s copy of Encyclopedia Britannica: It simply doesn’t matter where you got your information from as long as it is valid

7·9 days agoI am typing this reply on an 17 year old PC that works absolutely well for any day-to-day task. A PC that can run Windows 10 happily.
Well… about 20 years ago it was not THAT uncommon for nerdy / techy people to put a small Linux powered PC into their car for all sort of things. I personally had a system build around a passive cooled Transmeta Crusoe based board running on some Suse Linux sitting under the passenger seat of my Escort Mk 4 back then…
I think with a Raspberry Pi or similar system you could build something very interesting today with a much better user experience

Linux@lemmy.ml•Are there any other display servers aside from Wayland and X11 with its forks?
1·10 days agoI don’t hate Wayland, but I don’t like it either. I just grew up with xorg and I know how to use the tooling around it intuitively and really like some of its features. For me personally there is simply no reason to move away.

Honest question: You have not tried DeepL, right?
