In any case, parent was wondering why people disliked how old it was despite its relevance and I answered the question. You don’t have to like the answer. I have no interest in continuing this conversation. Good day.

Like most social rules, it is an unspoken one, so obviously not explicitly written down.
That being said, this particular piece of etiquette harkens all the way back to the classic web rule of “no necroing”, which is still a common unspoken rule in one form or another in many parts of the Web.
If you want to reference an old webpage, that’s fine, but in that case it’s best to not post it like it’s a new webpage, which is what this does.

In any case, like I said, you can disagree with the etiquette if you wish, but that is the ettiquette. So one shouldn’t be surprised when people disapprove of one breaking it.
It’s not that it’s less relevant, only that it’s not generally considered good form in terms of web etiquette.
You can disagree if you wish (you are entitled to that right), but that is how it currently is usually.
From a sociopolitical perspective, I very much hate red states, and I hate many of the people living in red states, but I don’t hate everyone in red states. There are many, many good people who are unfortunately trapped in those states through no fault of their own.
I say this as someone who is trapped in a red area in a purple state.

As someone who works in retail, the thing that pisses me off frankly isn’t so much the stupid questions (though yes those are annoying af), it’s the fact that most of the time customers don’t even attempt to figure it out before asking. A question pops into their head and they immediately ask someone. Maybe they should try to use that brain inside of their head before bothering a severely underpaid & overworked retail worker who can barely afford food on the table before asking such an inane question.
Stupid questions don’t bother me as much when I can be assured they who are asking them at least made an attempt to figure it out on their own first.
It also doesn’t help when I’m asked the same question fifteen times in a single shift. (No, I’m not exaggerating.)

As for your question, a nonprofit cannot make profit and has to work toward a societal good, while a not-for-profit also cannot make profit but is not bound to that obligation.
