      The boring answer is that the “victims” sign a release after the prank. People that start throwing punches are probably unlikely to sign that release. Also, back in the day these things were done by professionals, harmless, and a well known phenomena. Imagine Dick Clark types, not Johnny Somali.

      Sadly, it is probably mostly scripted shit. Reality TV isn’t reality. At the very least, they probably would not air those. Gives other people ideas

        Like some of them im surprised the prankee does not punch the prankster. Some are more tame but some are like. I think I would deck that guy.

            oh yeah nothing against the idea. its been around a long time but I feel like they kinda had escalated ones in the new millenia along with the more tame ones.
