Obligatory “the best gpu is the one you can buy”.
AMD tried everything to mess this launch up, but it looks like it came out alright. It’s not amazing, except maybe compared to the 50-series.
Watched the HUB video and gonna watch this as well, but if cards are actually available at MSRP (should be 720€ or something in Germany I think), I might get one and give Linux a proper shot.
Yeah, if they can hit MSRP and have a decent supply I’m going to buy this card to replace my 4070 because Nvidia driver support for Linux just isn’t great I’m my opinion.
If they can do that then I’ll upgrade from my 1060.
I watched hub review and this one, not sure what to make of this. Some games is actually quite alright, some it gets heavily stomped. In general, price sounds OK but depends how much they cost in the end on the stores. For all intends and purposes, if the price is met then its in a much better showing than the 5070 and 5070ti for the price point. If the price goes down eventually for the 50 series (which over time, should) then it becomes a bit more difficult to choose this over the 5070ti (vram capacity is still a shit show at this price for nvidia no matter what).
